Who is Astra Consultants?

The Astra Consultants website is written and owned by Dr. Doug Stewart (me). I completed  my Bachelor of Computer Science (with honours) in 2003, at Acadia University in Canada. This was followed by employment with various technology companies until 2001, when I left employment to create and run my own website businesses (such as FPSI French Property).

During my employment I took evening courses, receiving a Masters of Business Administration (Kingston University, UK) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Consulting (Henley-on-Thames Management College, UK), followed by a Doctorate in Business Administration (awarded by Brunel University, UK). This academic business training was matched by practical experience in management and senior management roles at companies such as Nortel Networks.

In March, 2008 I began work on this website. It is intended to provide an overview of how to create a website. As my background has been in business websites (rather than educational, charity or other types), the articles and examples are largely written from this perspective.
